This Karahi Wok is a ceramic wok with a non-stick coating. The wok has a glass lid with a steam valve. Ideal for sustainable and energy-efficient cooking and keeping your meal warm for longer. Furthermore, this wok is environmentally friendly and the coating is PTFE and PFOA-free. The wok is suitable for electric, gas, halogen, and ceramic heat sources and is dishwasher safe. Dishwasher detergents often contain harsh chemicals that can damage aluminum. Therefore, we recommend checking the packaging of your detergent before using it in the dishwasher. This way, you can be sure the detergent is suitable for aluminum and prevent damage. However, the wok will stay looking good for longer if you wash it by hand with a soft sponge. This prevents scratches and damage to the paintwork. This wok comes with a free (serving) spoon and silicone handles for easy grip and handling of the (hot) pan. Points to note when using ceramic pans: Always ensure the pan is covered with (a layer of) water or oil. Leaving an empty pan on a hot stove can damage the non-stick coating. Ceramic pans heat up quickly. Therefore, when preparing your meal, pay attention to the amount of food to be cooked and the temperature of your stove. To prevent burning, we recommend cooking/frying at a medium temperature. To prevent scratches and damage to the inside of the pan, we recommend using a plastic or wooden spoon. We recommend washing and drying ceramic pans immediately after use. This prevents the paint from peeling due to moisture buildup. Wash the pan with a soft sponge (instead of a hard scouring pad). To prevent damage (paint damage to the exterior), we recommend not stacking pans in the cupboard.
