Made according to an Ayurvedic recipe.
Clarified butter is made by melting butter and skimming off the solids (the proteins) and/or allowing them to settle. What remains is the clear butter component, which has the advantage that it can be heated to higher temperatures without smoking. It is therefore suitable for frying, just like oil. Clarified butter also has a longer shelf life.
